Allama Nurul Islam Faruqi was a Islamic scholar, businessman, politician, and Islamic preacher.He initially served as the Khatib of the Raishahber Bazar Mosque in Old Dhaka. Soon after, he became the head of the Nuraniya Chishtiya Alia Madrasa in Keraniganj, Dhaka.
