What is Hajj?
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and an obligatory once-in-a-lifetime journey for every physically and financially capable Muslim. It symbolizes unity, equality, and submission to Allah (SWT).
Millions gather annually from around the world, erasing distinctions of race, wealth, or status while wearing simple Ihram garments. Hajj commemorates the trials of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), Hajar (AS), and Ismail (AS). It is a profound spiritual reset, offering forgiveness of sins and renewed faith.

Official Hajj Guidelines & Requirements 2026
All pilgrims must:
- Register and obtain a permit through the Nusuk app/platform.
- Carry the Nusuk Card at all times for movement between sites.
- Be physically and mentally fit.
- Complete required vaccinations.
- Comply with Saudi health and security protocols.
Step-by-Step Hajj Rituals (Tamattu‘)
Enter the state of Ihram at the Miqat by making intention, bathing, and wearing the prescribed garments (two white unsewn cloths for men; modest loose clothing for women). Recite the Talbiyah continuously. Avoid perfumes, sewn clothes, and other restrictions.
Perform 7 circuits around the Kaaba, then walk between Safa and Marwah (Sa’i).
Stand in prayer and supplication from noon to sunset at the Plain of Arafat. This is the most important pillar — missing it invalidates the Hajj.
Collect pebbles, spend the night in Muzdalifah, stone the largest Jamarah on Eid day, offer sacrifice, shave/trim hair, and perform Tawaf al-Ifadah.
Stone the three Jamarat over the next two or three days before completing the farewell Tawaf.
