Planning ahead makes Ramadan calmer. If you live in Dubai or you are visiting during the holy month, a clear Dubai Ramadan Timetable 2027 helps you plan Suhoor, Iftar, Tarawih and your work day. This guide gives a full 30 day timetable, explains how to read it, and adds practical context for life in the emirate.
Because Ramadan follows the lunar calendar, the timings below are calculated estimates. Read the note under the table before you print or share it.
Ramadan 2027 in Dubai at a glance
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar (see our complete guide to Ramadan). Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, and the month closes with Eid Al Fitr. According to Khaleej Times, the UAE astronomy centre expects the Shaban crescent to be impossible to see, which would make Shaban 30 days long and place the first day of Ramadan on 8 February 2027.
| Event | Expected date |
|---|---|
| Crescent search | 6 and 7 February 2027 |
| First fast (Ramadan 1) | Mon, 8 February 2027 |
| Laylat al Qadr window | Last ten nights, from about 27 February |
| Shawwal crescent search | 8 March 2027 |
| Eid Al Fitr | 9 or 10 March 2027 |
Dates are early estimates. UAE authorities announce the final dates after the crescent is sighted.

Important: These times are calculated for Dubai using standard astronomical methods (Fajr and Isha at 18.2 degrees, Maghrib shortly after sunset). Official Dubai timings can differ by a minute or two. Where there is any difference, follow the timings published by Dubai authorities or your local mosque.
How to use the timetable for Suhoor and Iftar
Suhoor: eat before Fajr
Suhoor is the pre fast meal, and it ends when Fajr begins. A safe habit is to finish eating 10 minutes before the Fajr time in the table. Slow release foods such as oats, eggs, dates, yoghurt and whole grains help you stay energised through the morning. Drink water steadily, not all at once.
Iftar: break the fast at Maghrib
Iftar begins at the Maghrib call. Many people break the fast with dates and water, pray Maghrib, and then have a full meal. Keep the first meal light, so your body can adjust after a long day.
Check your exact location
Dubai is compact, so timings across the emirate are nearly the same. Neighbouring emirates may differ by a few minutes, so avoid using this table for Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah without checking local times.

Fasting hours in Dubai during Ramadan 2027
Using the timetable above, the fast lasts about 12h 29m on the first day and about 13h 08m on the last day. The gap grows by roughly a minute each day, because sunrise comes earlier and sunset comes later as spring approaches.
These are relatively gentle fasting days. Ramadan fell in late February and March in 2026, and it moves about 10 to 11 days earlier each year. In the summer years of this cycle, fasting days in the Gulf are noticeably longer and hotter. Cooler February weather in Dubai should make daytime fasting, commuting and outdoor errands easier in 2027.

Why Ramadan 2027 arrives earlier
The Islamic year has about 354 days, roughly 11 days shorter than the solar year. Ramadan therefore shifts earlier on the Gregorian calendar each year, and it moves through every season over about 33 years. As Gulf News explains, the confirmed start date depends on the official crescent sighting, which is why every timetable published in advance is a forecast.
For a deeper background on the month and its practices, see the general overview of Ramadan on Wikipedia.
A typical Ramadan day in Dubai
Life in Dubai adjusts noticeably during the holy month. Here is what many residents can expect:
- Working hours: private sector employees typically get a reduced working day in Ramadan, and government departments announce their own schedule. Confirm the details with your employer once officially announced.
- Traffic: roads are often busier in the hour before Iftar, so plan your commute earlier.
- Iftar gatherings: hotels, community tents and mosques host Iftar meals, and many families invite neighbours and colleagues.
- Tarawih prayers: the night prayers usually follow Isha, so use the Isha column to plan your evening.
- Public etiquette: eating, drinking and smoking in public during fasting hours is discouraged out of respect for those who fast. Visitors should follow local guidance.

The last ten nights and Laylat al Qadr
The last ten nights are the most spiritually intense part of Ramadan. Many Muslims seek Laylat al Qadr, the Night of Power, on the odd nights: the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th. If Ramadan begins on 8 February, those nights are expected on the evenings of 27 February, 1 March, 3 March, 5 March and 7 March. Mosques in Dubai often extend prayers and Quran recitation during this period, so check local schedules early.
Eid Al Fitr 2027 outlook
If the Shawwal crescent is sighted on the evening of 8 March, Eid Al Fitr will begin on Tuesday, 9 March. If not, Ramadan completes 30 days and Eid falls on Wednesday, 10 March. As The National reports, the holiday covers the first three days of Shawwal, and Ramadan 30 is added as a public holiday when the month has 30 days. Official holiday dates will be confirmed by UAE authorities.
